CLIMBING WITH KIDS

There are options for all ages at Rock Climb Fairfield… If they can walk, they can climb! Please review all policies below before bringing the kiddos.

NOTE: Documents for minors CANNOT be completed by siblings, grandparents, extended family, nannies/babysitters, friends’ parents, or anyone who is not the direct parent or court-appointed guardian (we reserve the right to ask for proof of court-appointed guardianship.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

Ages 17 & Under

All visitors must have a valid visitor agreement on file in order to proceed past the front desk. If the individual is under the age of 18, the visitor agreement must be completed by a parent or court-appointed guardian. Grandparents, extended family, babysitters, siblings, or friends’ parents are NOT able to complete a visitor agreement for the minor.

Climbers ages 13+ may be in the building without adult supervision.

Use of the Fitness Area, Cardio Mezzanine, or Kilter Board is for ages 16+ only, unless otherwise approved by RCF staff.

Ages 12 & Under

Visitors 12 years of age or younger MUST be accompanied by an adult supervisor at all times while inside the facility, unless otherwise stated by RCF staff. Maximum ratio of adult supervisor to children is 1:3 for regular day use and 1:5 for staff-facilitated bookings such as a Hire-a-Belayer. Adult supervisors must be at least 18 years of age and provide direct, arms-length supervision to children during their stay.

Adult supervisors must have a valid waiver completed.

Unless accompanied by an RCF member or RCF certified belayer, day users ages 12 and under will be allowed to climb in the designated Mezzanine area only.
